Other than to stir up fanboy comments, is there really any valid point to raising (and emphasising in italics) the fact that Kovalainen put in a lap 1.2 seconds quicker than Hamilton during the Monaco GP, as if to hint how impressive it was? The facts are, all the fastest race laps were done in the final few laps when the circuit was almost dry, by which point Lewis already had the race in his pocket and had absolutely no reason to push. Heikki on the other hand had a sniff of an additional point as well as a clear track in front so its obvious he would be pushing to the limit at that time.
