There were rumours before the vote that some associations would not only withdraw their membership from the FIA, but also set up a rival governing body.

Any rival body that has the support of the US, Germany & Japan also represents most of the motor manufacturers, so the knock on effect of this could change motorsport as we know it.

This is just perverse, how on earth can this be allowed?

The FIA are a farce, Mosley no longer has the respect of the motorsport community, he should walk away now!

Actually, the ones that most demanded he leave, were those organisations that, for one reason or another, weren't allowed to vote, or those organisations, who have REALLY broad shoulders (AAA, ADAC, etc.). It really doesn't surprise me. But I really want to see what happens when it comes out that Mosley's little scenario DID include Nazi links. For me, that is REALLY the important issue. Personally, I would kind of like to be 70-something and be able to dish out a few thousand pounds and keep on going for 4 hours (I said I'd like to be able to, not to do it).
Fact is, Mosley did give up a carreer in politics in his father's post-war refounded far-right party. And he's always played it down.

They thought Titanic was unsinkable too - the various member clubs who voted to keep him in surely must think their organisation is impervious to outside influence. Sadly I believe that this misguided view will very soon be shown to be so fatally flawed, as the organisation implodes upon itself. Mosley has won his vote and made his point: now do the right and proper thing and resign - as if that would happen!

I had really hoped that he would lose this. The FIA has really lost any remaining credibility, and given Bernie's comments (and Porsches) about the negative impact this may have on sponsorship I think F1 in particular may be in for a rough time.

Needs a few organisations to walk away from the FIA and take a stand...then we'll see.

I'm totally ashamed that the UK/BRDC didn't add themselves to the anti's...too bloody worried they might lose Silverstone GP i think.

Not suprised at all though..too many living in glass houses i reckon

**** the FIA and **** F1. This is the final straw.

Every day FIA and Bernie seem intent on destroying the sport. Crap racing and pathetic, depressing off track politics make it the joke of Motor racing.

I for one will not watch another F1 race this year.
