yes, it appears to be time that mclaren realised that they had a second driver of equal calibre, and started supporting him as much as they support lulu. kovi is usually put on a different strategy (the wrong one ) as a back up for when lulu stuffs up!

Dont think 10 places would stop Lulu getting on or near the podium anyway but I think Heikki is still Macca´s best hope unless he gets one of his famnouse bad lucks where the car will not get off the line lol... Go Heikki and go Robert for that matter...

Would love to see Heikki do it, but he seems to be having another poor year....not quite on the ultimate pace.

DC got on the podium from 13th pos and Vettel got in the points from pit lane last race. Whitmarsh is being a little pesamistic maybe but reality is that Heikki is their best chance for max points reasult next race. If Lewis does beat him with a 10 grid penalty then maybe McLaren and Heikki should really consider what he is doing in the team. Or that Lewis is a real F1 freak of nature to beat him from there. So much could happen till then and it will be interesting. Good luck Heikki!

it is good that they remembered they have another driver (better to say forced to remember).untill now hamilton always qualified with less fuel load than kova, i think this is enough to understand how things are going on mclaren team.

and it is a fact that kova outqualified hamilton time to time with a heavier fuel load but was very unlucky during the some races.

there is no way that hamilton can get pass two bmw driver and his team mate in a normal race at m.course, he need a lot of luck,
but yes he is a very lucky guy indeed.

If Lewis can get himself into a points position at Magny, without excessive reliance on strategy (ie by actually passing peole on track) then that will show he is a real racer. If he can podium, then that would justify the 'next big thing' comments, and reflect the promise he has previosuly shown.

Hope Heikki can make the most of this opportunity though. His season has been too quiet, and frankly he is a better driver than his results so far demonstrate. We're far enough into the season for a track to come to him, so a win or at least splitting the Ferraris on the podium would be a turning point.

PIRELLI I am very surprised with your comments seeing as you are carrying an italian name/nickname. Why are you attacking ferrari they did nothing wrong all they have done is won more races than any other team so far and like last year have done there talking on the track. And by the way they admit to there mistakes this year unlike the spoilt lewis
