The difference with Kimmi and Fred is that those two owe up to their mistakes, whereas Hamilton doesn't do it or sounds not honest when he does it.

Kimmi will say something like: "Ilostthecarcomingoutofthetunnel, brakesontoearly, simplylostitandcouldn'tavoidhittingSutil. Iamreallysorryforhim, myteam, etc."
Fred would say: "Yes I hit him, my mistake, stupid eh."

Whereas Hammy says something like: "Something went wrong? Oh you mean that little incident in the pits? I already forgot that. Don't know what happened we have to investigate what went wrong. I am like Senna and will be Champion this year, because I am better than all the others out there."

Jackie why dont you go play a few more games of golf instead of writing such obvious cr@p again and again.... the problem with LH is he has to LEARN more from his mistakes... simply brushing them aside or not identifying them is going to be his only mistake... he´s already ran into the back of 2 cars this year and had a few unforced errors... how can you say the the team needs to put more into him? if anything the team needs to put less so he matures by himself and not being breast fed by RD with a head full of bullcr@p and make hime really think he can do no wrong.

It''s funny how everytime Hamilton make a mistake, blame is levelled at the team. Hamilton believes that he should be World Champion this year. World Champions don''t need to be told to look out for the red light.

So Jackie for one who spoke with sense and eloquence on the MosleySexScandle you can talk out of your Tam''O''Shanter.

Inexperience? this is a guy who''s been racing and mollycoddled under the tutelage of McLaren since god knows when and now your saying he needs to be told what a red light means?

Your right Einstein he''s not but he is 21/22 and been out of nappies for quite some time now, surly it''s time he learnt to do things for himself and to accept responsibility for his mistakes just like the rest of us.

But mostly Jackie be consistent, don''t tell us one day he''s the greatest ever then he''s bound to make mistakes because of inexperience!

It's funny how when Alonso constantly crashes out or crashes into people, or when Raikkonen does (both of whom have done this countless times this year) you don't hear the nasty vilification that Lewis gets when he does it. Raikkonen and Alonso are much more experienced than Lewis and yet they never get the same accusations. I think there is a lot of unjustified hate towards LH - he makes no more mistakes than any other driver and is only in his 2nd year of F1. It is sick making!

When does Alonso "constantly" crash out or crash into people?

Jonov - crashed out in Canada, crashed into Heidfeld in Monaco. Last year did his fair share of crashing out. Don't you watch F1???

Gee, Lewis must be human. Initially I was thinking Jackie is right but after reading RAMOSS's post he has a very good point. RD has known LH since he was a ten year old and nurtured him and his racing to what it is now. So that sort of relationship is almost fatherly and like a boy who is sad after losing his soccer game needs a cuddle and reassurance from dad. There seems to be a bit of that going on at McLaren and the sooner he gets clipped around the ear instead of cuddled the sooner he will get his act together. All that said he is certainly a brilliantly fast racer but needs to work on his racecraft and concentration to make a fully rounded F1 racer. He's about two thirds there.

Biggest thing he needs to learn if to be gracious in defeat & admit when he has made a stupid mistake.
He has turned into an arrogant ****** , i wonder if he's getting his attitude from some of his new "Gangsta Rapper" friends that he hangs out with now he is such a superstar!

JS is correct Hamilton will make mistakes.
Everyone, the media, fans, teams,etc..., all talk about him as if he has been around F1 for years.Remember this is only Hamilton's 2nd year in F1. He is in an unenviable position, he is a talented driver, he's from an ethnic minority in the sport,& he came 2nd in his 1st year in F1, so he will inevitably be a focus of everyone's attention to what he does good or bad.
How many other drivers have been in this position, none that i can think of, can you?
How much is made of other rookie drivers, or more seasoned drivers when they make mistakes?, usually not much.
Maybe we should all (fans, media, etc..)take a step back from all this baying for blood
