I agree with racerdog45... Its all one sided with F1. Gimme Gimme Gimmie more. That attitude with the lack of real racing makes for a no go in the states. Besides F1 is very unstable at this point with a lack of direction.

yep, no GP here again because Tony George & Co. are a private concern who's main goal is to make a PROFIT from running races and a reasonable one at that. Maybe the rest of the world should team with him and just say no to Bernie... won't happen tho as he'll just keep shuttling races to countries who will pay and suck up a loss untill he dies...but to be honest it's no loss. I live 60 miles from the Speedway and rarely went, I lived 2 years in England in the mid-80's I saw 7 different Grand Prixs all over. Sorry guys, we have much better racing here from several series, we don't need F1 and it's 20 car parade and endless bitching. Stay gone untill you can bring REAL racing and no BERNIE!!!!!

At least 5 terrible circuits there. Good facilities maybe, great tracks they are not.

Stands to reason they would want to make some money, as racerdog said they should just tell Bernie to **** right off.

Anyway I will probably have stopped watching all together by next year. As will a lot of other judging by slowly falling circuit attendance...

The US doesn't need F1 or the FIA. We're doing great without the politics, the craps & other garbage they carry. No Max or Bernie please, we are Americans.

Turkey in high summer is going to be a strain. Presumably Ferrari didn't like the cool conditions there this year :p

I don't understand why Bernie is pushing places like Silverstone to improve the grandstands - I thought all he wanted was good corp hospitality and TV coverage - it makes no difference to him if races are held at empty tracks.

All I heard over the French GP weekend was that Magny Cour was finshed, the location was wrong, lets move somewhere else. And then two days later, the 2009 list comes out and still its still there !!. Its a waste of time moaning if they still planning to go back

If in fact Tony George is refusing to play Bernie's game I applaud him for doing so. From what I understand the USGP had one of the biggest turnouts of any GP (I may be wrong about that). So I think it's safe to say that this situation is probably the best example of how transparent Bernie is in his approach to F1. If it can't make him a big profit then no deal - the fans be damned. While I never got a chance to see the USGP I'm definitely considering visiting an American Le Mans Series race...

Matt - Having attended several ALMS races I highly recommend going. I have also gone to Champcar/Indycar races but they don't have the same feel. If you get a chance check out a vintage race too.

Indy racing has no where to go but up. Having attended the Texas race I can tell you that the teams are pumped up for the years ahead. Multiple engine manufactures are being discuss right now. This will soon be the venue to watch over F1.
