Giancarlo is absolutely right, just as Bernie has said before. But maybe Massa is about on a par with Shamilton at best and Alonso slightly ahead, the pecking order is probably like this: Raikkinen, Kubica, Alonso, Shamilton, Massa.

Whoe cares what he thinks, at the end of the day Lewis beat Alonso last year in the same car! Anyway Car racing was only invented for people too scared to race motorbikes!

Sadly,on a number of wins basis,Mr Minardi is wrong.

Gian Carlo Minardi is a fool.

Statistically, no one in current F1 can match Hamilton for his points haul in less than 2 years of F1. Hamilton has more wins that anyone in F1 in their first year FACT.

Gian Carlo Minardi is obviously a Ferrari fanboy and likes to trash talk Hamilton due to his OWN pathetic records in F1.......with MINAR******

Do Suzuki advise Ford if their driver is the best or not in WRC? I am interested none of this ever happened in F1 (trash talk of other drivers), until a black man entered F1.

Think about it, did we have daily slagging off of other new drivers who did amazingly well in the first year? JV, Schumacher? No, because they have white skin.

Yet another Italian talking ********. Gian carlo is a bit of an expert on picking the best and making the best choices, you can tell from all his F1 team wins and stack of points that they amassed.

Grumpy, LH is not slagged for being black, he is being slagged for being arrogant, having an air of superiority and basically having an ego bigger than his talent. And the fact that he never acknowledges his own mistakes but instead always blames something or someone else doesn't help either. And neither does flagging his hand to competitors when they don't let him pass, while fighting for position with him.

In short, the guy has talent in spades, possibly more than anyone else in F1 but his (public) personality got corrupted by McLaren/Daddy/press attention/initial success/whatever. He needs to quit talking to the press and start racing again.

I really do wish Mclaren would bar Hamilton from talking to the press if only to stop this bile and vitriol.Sadly the same people who now slag him off for his comments woild be equally vindicative about his silence.These people have to ask themselves some honest questions about why they feel the way they do and there is no doubt that racism has a part to play in this(no doubt Ryan will now be apoplectic with rage!!).The guy can do no right and perhaps we should move onwards and debate something less repetitive?

LH gets a daily slagging off, as you put it, because he is constantly talking to the press. He should shut up and drive, then he may perform better. It isn't his fault though, blame that on the UK media's fascination with him.

I agree with GM. LH is not the best in the field, but he's only in his second year...he shouldn't expect to be the best compared to drivers who have much more experiance.

So backbeat,do you fire off emails to all the newspapers and TV companies for being wrong in 'bigging up'Hamilton? I doubt it!Its too easy to slag him off on here isn't it???
