Bernie wins again and lines his already worn out pants with more lolly. Actually Bernie thanks - I hate waking up so early in the morning to catch the START and first 5 laps - after that its the usual bore and I go back to bed. Now I can have coffee

Donnington WONDERFUL that will shake the stupid slow idiots and councilors of Silverstone. Donny is a great - if narrow circuit (which makes overtaking especially interesting!!) and I am sure they will get planning permission to EXTEND the track so it becomes a really first class event wil a 2. mile track!! I raced there back in the 60"s (first with company car till I got caught and fired lol) and then with a Lotus Cortina - later when I grew up I went Rallying - MUCH more grown up and MUCH more skillful and did it for 20 years with joy and without a MAX or Bernie in sight ( I was racing in Greece including the dreaded Acropolis - 3 days of adrenaline junky)

Its odd that no one has complained about the Australian start time before. Yet Bernie makes a fuss and its instantly changed. He is basically saying Europe is more important than every other country. Personally Australia is usually the best race of the year and worth getting up for !

Well, this is great news to have the F1 retained in Australia. It would hardly be a World Championship without going to one of the Continents. But, the atmosphere is great, the weather terrific, the race is good and the teams love it. With several world champs being Aussie, even more important to keep.

If Bernie didn't like getting up early to watch it, maybe he should come to Australia every year and watch it live...

Starting at 5pm is also realistic and means that it is at a better hour for European audiences but also a good time for those in Australia and Asia. Why should Australasia be forced to watch every race at 10pm (European races) or 3am for North & South American races?

I'm glad that the race will continue. Unfortunately, the later start time sucks mega. I went to this years Melbourne GP for the first time and it was fantastic but the start time was a bit late. I got fried by the afternoon sun sitting in the Clark stand and that was with a 3pm start. A 5pm start will most likely be even worse. As long as the Euro viewers are happy, then I suppose thats ok according to that dried up old douche Bernie.
