Oh deep deep joy!
The end result of this is that one of if not the best Motorcycle circuits in the UK gets mutilated
Just to fulfil the poisoned dwarfs personal vendetta against Silverstone / BRDC

I think that Bernie is just spiting the BRDC. Silverstone needs much less improving than Donnigton and much less money spending on it. I think they'll probably end up ripping up most of Donnigton and starting again. Its a real shame that Silverstone will be lost to F1 as it had excellent facilities. However the BRDC should celebrate that they no longer have to deal with Bernie.
WHats the odds that in 3 years time Bernie will threaten Donnigton with cutting its contract short unless they do x and improve y and pay z amount of money.
Overall a stupid decision.

Disgusting i think. Donnington is a bike track. How could bernie moan at silverstone for not being up to standard, allow them to fork out the money for improvements which are already well under way and then take it away from them. I hope bernie and his bunch of FIA cronies are happy with themselves. Unless donnington makes the british grand prix a substantially more exciting race, I think we could see a lot of unhappy people out there today.

And I'm really feeling the bikers out there too. I'm not a massive bike follower, although the racing is better, but the f1 cars ride a lot different to bikes. It's going to ruin the track for them! So on behalf of the f1 fans i'm sorry for you guys

FANTASTIC!!!!!!! For years the BRDC has had its head buried in the sand and tried to call King Bernie,s bluff but hes light years ahead of them and will prove what can and should be done for the British GP. Silverstone is from a age years ago and can not hope to compete on todays modern stage of F1. Yes its sad when a circuit looses its prime event but its been coming for years and the BRDC have only themselves to blame in thinking that themselves and the name Silverstone would mean a automatic place on the F1 calendar. a lot of people in the UK do not like or understand Bernie but without him most of the people at this weekends GP would be at home watching TV. God bless you Bernie.

Bernie gets what Bernie wants. He has had it in for Sliverstone for years and whatever the BRDC does is never good enough. Donnington going to have to be closed from now on to get the facilities anywhere good enough for the F1 fat cats. :? :?

Donnington - it will rain of course - which will make even MORE fun on that narrow track - maybe MAX could suggest 4wd as an alternative???

Donnington is the worst circuit to visit rubbish road network moronic security and car park marshals facilities should have a health warning. You F1 boys are welcome to it hope the bike races all move to Silverstone.
The people who organise race meetings should visit the Le Mans 24 hour to see how it should be done.

I am pleased - this is the kick up the a$$ Silverstone needed - I've been to F1 qualifying and race day three times in the last 5 years and it's always a dismal experience for an F1 fan - I decided last year not to go again - The overriding memory is always horrendous delays getting out of the car parks which are poorly signed farmers fields. Seating even on the pit straight is way too far back - you need binoculars for christ sake to make out anything - you cannot even access the centre of the circuit anymore - it's crap, and very expensive crap. Lets hope it's a better close up experience for fans.
