I also love how so many people here know so much more than someone who was in F1 for several years and a racing driver all his life.

I bet, you via your manager took it seriously too, when you were negotiating your wages while in F1........

Very simple, most successful teams (not all) has a professional attitude when it comes the sport they participate in. If you have to lax a attitude you aren't taking it very seriously and won't have that extra edge you need to be the best.

Watch as a struggling Nascar driver criticizes other motorsports endeavors. Watch as he talks only about what is wrong with F1 (he obviously hasn't been watching this year - no passing?) and avoids discussing what is wrong with his own team and his own sport. It seems like the only interviews he is giving relate to F1 now, what gives? I am still a fan of JPM, but this is silly: he should stop beating the dead horse and start working on his race pace.

NASCAR is not racing... just plain entertainment event... reminds me of ancient Rome and the events that took place in the Colloseum.
whenever you put 40+ cars on a 3/4 mile oval you really can't expect real racing...
It's freaking boring ...
Talking about being robots... well... try to say what you think in a NASCAR sponsored post race interview... impossible unless willing to pay the consequences to the French Keiser family...

But Brendan, I said THIS year. Totally agree with you about the moves on Schumacher in 130R by Alonso and the move into Turn 1 on Fisichella by Raikonnen, some of the ballsy-est overtaking ever!

in terms of racing and esp with the one tyre rule(that didnt suit ferrari-bridgestone) was the best season we had in recent years. many races going down to the last lap...imola, nuringburg, suzuka etc. 06 and 07 tho good in terms of a close title race-many of the races werent as exciting. it would either be a ferrari cake walk or mclaren circuit dependent as it has been this year too.

Lewis, fernando and kimi are all as good as each other overtaking.

ramjam said kimi and fernando have not done do or die moves. one race that springs to mind is suzuka 05 when both did outrageous moves. fernando around the outside of 130R on MS and then on the last lap kimi taking the win passing fisi after starting 18th. JPM also did similar moves, on either kimi or michael usually.

they are all really similar in that respect. i dont feel massa is with them in terms of out and out racing. but good in his own way.

sadly people have short memories in Grand prix racing and forget, how awesome kimi and alonso were that season.

Spot on money Ramjam,

Although I was mighty pissed off at McLaren, given the way JPM-Macca thing happened. Hamiltons' first race and way he went challenging for position with Massa and Alonso,I was happy to have seen on track overtaking in F1 after JPM. His moves on Massa in last season were classic stuff as well.
Only trouble with LH is "ME ME ME ME" stuff that he does, he needs a career coach to guide him. Ant Hamilton and His Pop Star coterie has to GO away, and he should focus on racing. Working with Macca (for that matter any current team) will obviously stop him from calling spade and spade. Coz teams don't like it.I wonder how Ron D tolerates LH's entourage...
