This move is not as silly as it sounds. The Japanese teams will be stronger with the new regs and should have a better understanding of KERS technology than the European manufacturers. They already produce reliable hybrid cars commercialy wich will give them good stead and resource to the modern way F1 is heading. Fernando will benefit by getting a headstart on the others with understanding KERS and $15M USD of course. Honda will also benefit from his expertise in setup and proven performance. Not a bad way to bide his time while waiting for the Ferrari deal.

Nick Fry says that he and Ross Brawn are there to build a championship winning team. I've got a tip for you Nick. The best thing that you can do is leave. If you leave it will be better straight away!

Barrie - Nick Fry has a valuable part to play. He's taking some of the pressure off Ross Brawn, leaving RB to concentrate on what he's best at - building a championship winning team without getting bogged down by the politics of F1 and a major Japanese car manufacturer.

It may not be a bad move. Renault have admitted they cannot develop this year's car and next year's car at the same time and so have been concentrating on this year's. All of Honda's aero development at the moment is on next years car + they supposedly have already developed a working KERS system - something most teams are struggling with (including Renault).

Anyway it'll only be for 1 year!

Brendan what was clear to see yesterday. From the race I saw yesterday Glock in the Toyota was well clear of Alonso and Alonso was holding Kimi up at over a second a lap. Renault have the same trouble as Mclaren they are good at warming the tyres quickly (hence they are good in qualifying) but they loose race pace because of it. Ferrari are slow at warming tyres but they have better race pace.

If this move happens then he will help Honda amazingly. I could see them being right up there with the amount of money that company has to spend on development.

where is my little harebrained boy chu chu who proclaimed that I brought .5 secs to Maclaren? I also think there was another cartoon character nicknamed Renault SP. I need them to support my move to Honda and say that I'll make it instantly quicker by .6 seconds...
