I should think Honda can get a lot more useful data from supplying the engines (and KERS) to STR about the RBR/STR chassis and car than Red Bull could get out of having a Honda engine powering their cars.
Sure, RBR would find out all the characteristics of the Honda engine but what will they do with it? With the stupid engine regulations as they are today what benefit do they get from that...they can change next to nothing about it.
In the meantime, Honda themselves could use a performance benchmark to see what another (better) car can do with their engine, because they have obviously been missing the mark over the last couple years.
