Your quite right Barry,It's just Crash.net trying to wind people up.I think most of the people who come on the forum (those with any brain)are realizing that lateley as you say when you look into the story you very seldom can find the "quoted" headline in the way Crash report it. :?

strange i dont read alonso claiming hamilton is less consistant he seems to be making a general statement and not refering to any driver in particular

Whilst the pitlane event was not his finest hour, I have seen on various programs (that were made before it) talking about braking in an F1 car and the evidence there points to the fact that you just can't stop one of these things when going slowly. Seems that above 50mph (or kmph... can't remember which one) they just don't stop due to lack of mechanical grip and the areo devices not working at that speed.
