FIA Statement: Formula 1 2009
"Overtaking to be banned next season because its too dangerous"

BLOODY DISGUSTING! terrible decision by the stewards, what advantage did he gain for goodness sake? i hope mclaren appeal and win for the sake of F1! i just knew that this would happen, it deters the drivers from trying. you never would have had senna penalised for such things.

has completely ruined one of the most entertaining races of the year.

Thats about right, FIA might aswell relocate to Maranello!!!!
Kimi pushes Lewis wide entering the chicane
-Lewis takes avoiding action and cuts the corner
-Lewis is now 1st so backs off and gives back the position to Kimi
-Lewis gets back on the throttle and overtakes Kimi again
-Kimi tags the back of Lewis (and gets no penalty)

I will laugh my head off at the end of the season when Lewis wins the title, I hope he shoves 2 fingers up at the FIA!!!! :p

Kimi should have been penalised he pushed Hamilton onto the escape road and then ran into the back of him. The bias to-wards Ferrari is despicable. Remember Mosely and the blackshirts were allies of Mussolini. F1 need to put their house in order.

Absolute joke, they will ruin Lewis's career, he is the most attacking F1 driver I have ever seen, he could have sat sweet in second and still extend his lead, instead he decided to give the fans a fantastic show of immense driving and then get penalised for nothing??Mosley you should stick to your nazi orgies, and give up your day job!!!

The race stewards should be charged with bringing the sport into disrepute. A fantastically exciting race that should have been the talk of the season will now remembered only for a stewards decision which gave the win to a driver who was totally uninspiring on the day.

Putting my absolute disgust at the FIA aside. Let me ask...what else could Lewis have done? He complied with the rules (i.e. let the other driver past).

Trying to find a positive, at least this will make Lewis Hamilton's first (of many) championship even sweeter.

Once again the stewards play a blinder ?,and disregard the rule book.
the FIA is a complete joke their not fit to run the emptying of a waste paper basket let alone a grand prix.Mind you I suppose with the backhanders that they get from ferrari they can afford to be negligent. for the good of the sport Ron Dennis has got to appeal. Well driven Lewis

I watched this Grand Prix on Turkish TV and I believe Hamilton did all he could do. What has he to do, if it had been any other car than a Fererie no action would have been taken. I have been an avid F1 suporter since Brands Hatch days. When we get a real race not a convoy the Stewards ýntrpret the rules to support a favorite Italion buýit car. When will we see real racing again and at what price!!!!

I think it was a fair decision. Agreed with JJ in all aspects. Hamilton had an unfair advantage. The punishment could be given during the race, not after.
