FIA Statement: Formula 1 2009
"Overtaking to be banned next season because its too dangerous"

BLOODY DISGUSTING! terrible decision by the stewards, what advantage did he gain for goodness sake? i hope mclaren appeal and win for the sake of F1! i just knew that this would happen, it deters the drivers from trying. you never would have had senna penalised for such things.

has completely ruined one of the most entertaining races of the year.

FIA - RIP. You can't manufacture a "thrilling end" to a season, that is down to the drivers. We the fans will just turn to supporting true sporting contests without the cheats of Ferrari influencing every decision.

What a shame for the sporting world.

What a surprise. Oh well at least they have not resorted to changing the rules like they did when trying to fix an exciting climax when Michael Schumacher was racing.

Do they think we are all idiots?

Prior to entering my comments on this site I saw this "Please do not post any personal abuse or attacks" I will try my best but will find it very difficult, it is about time the FIA, the stewards, Bernie(short ****)Eccleston and all the other numb nuts that run F1 were investigated themselves, as it is plain to see from everyone there is a lot of fixing or something going on in F1 these days, no wonder people are moving away from the sport, come on lets get back to racing for God's sake....oh and while you are at it stop waving those stupid blue flags at back markers, lets get back to drivers racing to overtake them..
Very, very, very, very upset F1 fan

Improving disabled accessibility at the FIA HQ was a great idea, but allowing someone blind to be the head steward might have taken it too far.

Boycot Ferrari, not F1. So, don't buy red cars. :)

And what about the broken yellow flag at the end of the race?
Sebastien Bourdais make a great job.

I've just reflected on the weekend at Spa. During the F1 (qualifying and race), GP2 races and Porsche Super Cup - all FIA events - only one driver, from the many who took to the various escape roads' and rejoined without losing track position, was investigated and penalised for 'gaining an advantage'.

No guesses as to who that was...

I can see no justification for this decision which to my mind can only be a blatant abuse of judicial power.

McLaren have appealed the decision and if they fail that will REALLY prove how corrupt (pro Ferrari) the FIA is.
