FIA Statement: Formula 1 2009
"Overtaking to be banned next season because its too dangerous"

BLOODY DISGUSTING! terrible decision by the stewards, what advantage did he gain for goodness sake? i hope mclaren appeal and win for the sake of F1! i just knew that this would happen, it deters the drivers from trying. you never would have had senna penalised for such things.

has completely ruined one of the most entertaining races of the year.

Marc you're confused again, you keep posting the incorrect facts.. the stewards ruled that Alonso's re overtake was within the rules.... what do you reckon to that..

guys like it or not kimmy was out smarted whether LH was a bit of on the wrong side of the law kimmy had other options which he didnt and to prove my point its so obvious he was out of tricks cz he danced a bit before crashing obviously showing signs of panic so whats your point, at the end of the we think LH drove better regardless of the pass and managing to catch up al:l that time like that, kimmy couldnt have done that and who knows may be even a 25 second penalty cant keep LH down, any thing could change who expected kimmy to crash out who expected massa would have engine problems, who expects ferrarito get a way with this, with the FIA yes on the track no way.wish them luck

I strongly suggest embarrassed fans (regardless of who you support) emailing the FIA, the teams and the team and race sponsors and tell them of your disgust and whether or not you will continue watching F1.

Without the sponsors, the teams are nothing and it's they who ultimately hold the power in F1.

It's also rumoured that a major car manufacturer is currently evaluating whether the unfairness of F1 is where they want to be beyond 2009.

Expect to see at least one maker down after next season, and if they go, who else will follow?

My money's on Renault, Honda or Toyota - with Renault my personal choice if the rumours are correct.

@ Heckler

B4 u start insultin ppl i fink u shud read thru their comments properly n actually try 2 understand wat they r actually trying 2 say. I am a massive hamilton fan n i go 2 ALL of the races jus 2 support him n i believe that the decision was appauling as alot happened afta that corner that meant that kimi was not even in the race wen it ended so who was the penalty actually affecting other than hamilton as he dint hav any advantage over massa 4 cuttin the corner so why position him lower than massa. Wat i was trying 2 say in my 1st comment is that if lewis had gone round the corner lewis wud hav been alot more behind than when he just let kimi pass therefor maybe not overtaking.

It's very hard to read, when the person posting those comments cannot even be bothered to use English. Instead they have to write in this so called txt speak or l33t speak and it takes time to decipher. If some one is too lazy or dumb to write their comments properly and correctly. Then their comments are worthless and irrelevant. You may be happy contributing to the decline of basic English, or perhaps have not yet even learnt the basics. I stopped reading your post after about 6 words and I would expect that 90% did, those last 10% are probably morons. If you must reply, please do so properly.
