FIA Statement: Formula 1 2009
"Overtaking to be banned next season because its too dangerous"

BLOODY DISGUSTING! terrible decision by the stewards, what advantage did he gain for goodness sake? i hope mclaren appeal and win for the sake of F1! i just knew that this would happen, it deters the drivers from trying. you never would have had senna penalised for such things.

has completely ruined one of the most entertaining races of the year.

The Stewards are just SCUM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only thing that needs investigating are the SCUM Stewards and the SCUM at the FIA who make up the rules as they go along!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is something just unacceptable, am horrified at the way FIA sides with Ferrari every time they lose badly.
I have lost interest in this sport.

This is the final nail in F1's coffin... t'least for me. F1 is dead and finished now. Travesty. Farce. Right now I'm so sick, I could never eat enogh to throw up as much as I want to right now. Anger and disappointment doesn't remotely display my feelings. I'm not much of a Hamilton Fan, but this is unbelievable. CRAP! CRAP CRAP! Boycott this farce!

What a travesty.
I have supported, argued for, and talked up F1 for ages now, in the face of the increasingly ridiculous actions of the FIA and it's associates.

I will no longer be watching.

The FIA have degraded the sport I love into no better than a joke.

Shocked and upset.

I agree with virtually every other commentator - an apalling decision by the FIA stewards (the second in as many races).
I have been lucky enough to officiate at most British GP's since the late 1960's and from what I saw of the 'incident' on television, Lewis did exactly what was required of him - no more, no less - and completely within the rules. So what exactly did the stewards penalise him for?
McLaren must appeal this decision for the sake not only of their championship aspirations but for the future credibility of Formula 1.

An absolutely disgusting decision by both the corrupt stewards and the fia. f1 is committing suicide. I also agree that someone at the very top of f1 definitely does not want either a black man or mclaren to be world champions.

What a joke, how can Charlie Whiting say there wasn''t an issue at the time, yet afterwards it all turns out there is now. Ferrari International Assistance strikes again. Whats the point of racing these days, just give the title every year to Ferrari and save time and money and race in somethig fair.

You know, if the stewards had been clever, this would have been the perfect opportunity to create a smokescreen. Investigate the incident, find Hamilton guilty of nothing, and thus "prove" that there isn't a bias in favour of Ferrari. But they aren't clever, just bloody greedy, self-serving, in-Ferrari-pockets *word that you can't say here*.

Sport? You must be joking.
