So if race control twice told McLaren that everything was okay, and, if reports are true, no team officially protested, why did the Stewards change their mind after the race?!

It been a while since i watched f1, mainly due to last years suspect decisions by the FIA. But seeing lewis's over taking at the chicane (in which he did jump the chicane)and get an get an advantage, the steward is correct, (purely at that instant) hamilton immediately returned the advantage to kimi, hence the penalty should be null and void. This has happened in many other races in the past and no similar penalty has been awarded.
As for the appeal, im sure the FIA will give mclaren an ultimatum,
1.you can appeal, show the decision for what it was (wrong), and not get the victory re-instated.
OR
2. lose the appeal and have points deducted for making an appeal.......

Sunny you are wasting your time with the lovers.... Can you imagine the British media will dig any dirt to rubish people some enterprising posters they still insists with the Nazi tag for Mosley because of their dirt called media. It was a British judge to state that the matter had nothing to do with Nazi but they still insist with their derogatory terminology.

And to those clever signatories of the petition, those miserly 27000 according to a poster few minutes or hours ago, you will get nowhere there are milions outside your little island somewhere in the sea. So 27 or whatever are what we call peanuts.

What on earth is your problem that you feel the need to come on a motorsport forum and then gibber on about issues which you clearly have with all things British? This is a British forum,if you are so unhappy with anything British find a forum from another country, there are plenty of them in this big world of ours!

Sorry Johnny Foreigner ... in the internet there is nothing British you post anything and it becomes Global, with capital "G". I have nothing against the Brits I only note that they are sore losers in everything. So Hamilton has been penalized, so he has been demoted to third, so Massa got an "undue advantage". So what. McLaren appealed let us wait the result. And Sorry.... just because this is a British site, you Brits do not have a paramount right to insult the rest of the world, without the rest of the world telling you off....

If your response is ''so what''.why are you spending so much time on here debating the issue.Rather a waste of your time I would have thought? :)Are you really surprised that on a British site people should be angry at the decision? This doesn't actually make us sore losers.I would like to see justice being performed by a group of professional stewards with some real knowledge of the sport they are representing. We are often told that F1 is the pinnacle of excellence and technology.Perhaps the people who administer it should show the same level of excellence?

Who are your so called professional stewards candidates? Why the stewards in this case are considered stupid and unprofessional is it because they ruled against a British driver? People should disagree strongly with some decisions but not in anger and without insults. We are not in war we are only watching a sport.

@ sorry brits – mate you are wasting your time quarrelling with the pinheads. Most of those Brits are bunch of hooligans who call black players, in their football stadiums, derogatory names. You are dealing with the mentality that clearly says - it's my way or the highway, and they will not even consider that there are two sides to a coin.
