Double F1 world champion Fernando Alonso is keeping his fingers crossed that Ferrari's Felipe Massa can deny former McLaren rival Lewis Hamilton the 2008 title.

(contd...)

Sauber also told the Credit Suisse emagazine that he believes Massa, just a single point behind McLaren's Lewis Hamilton, is the more solid contender with four races to go. "Both McLaren and Hamilton are showing some nerves," he said, questioning McLaren's handling of the Hamilton championship campaign."Hamilton was declared as this year's star and world champion even before the season got going. This is in keeping with McLaren's style, but of course it's not true."That's a huge burden for a young man to bear and now, in one way or another, it has taken its toll. He just can't take the pressure."

I would think it would be in Fernando's best interest if Lewis wins. That way he can make the pitch to Ferrari that they need him because Felipe and Kimi can't beat Lewis.

It's what I would expect Sauber to say. Makes him feel good about himself and the fact that he chose Massa and groomed him to be a contender.

To be honest - Sauber was Ferrari customer, Nicholas todt , Son of then Ferrari team principle is manager of Massa. While Ferrari wanted Massa to be groomed, With Schumi and Rubens delivering results they had no place. So it was perfect arrangement in interest of all parties concerned.
But that doesn't diminishes the insights provided by the veteran insider...

Enjoy it while it lasts pepe. It won't be long before normal service is resumed.

I've been reading the autosport forum and there they don't swear at each other, they don't call each other names and the don't call drivers names either. Much more civilised. I guess I'll be there more often. Also, their stories are usually there earlier and reported more fairly.

So long, Crash.net.

You've finally lowered the bar far enough for me to wash my hands of you!
