I''m not rising to the bait dangled here by Crash, and I sincerely hope you don''t either.

Double F1 world champion Fernando Alonso is keeping his fingers crossed that Ferrari's Felipe Massa can deny former McLaren rival Lewis Hamilton the 2008 title.

When I read the artcile earlier on today and was unable to post on here as my computer was being a pain. I was reading between the lines, as the impression I was getting in the article is that he (Alonso) believes that Massa could do it, but it is dependent on on how much support Kimi Raikkonen gives as Raikkonen has been blowing hot and cold in the last four Grand Prixes. Hamilton has Kovalainen who will give Hamilton full support as he is completely out of contention for the title and would be able to help Hamilton more effective for Hamilton than Raikkonen will with Massa I don't think Raikkonen is as much of a team player as Kovalainen is, as well as Massa being prone to drop it.

whoever has taken fernando's dummy please let him have it back as he starts crying foul when he doesn't get his own way.
i dont know how any team could trust him after what he has done to mclaren whats saying that he wont do the same to another team when he doesn't get his own way.
he will only go to another team if they say that he is the number 1 driver in that team come on fernando this is a team sport you know

well it does if his comments were quoted correctly and in context. if so then i would rather see rules for bring the sport into disrepute, than those that thwart, curtail wheel-to-wheel racing.

IT IS FANTASTIC THAT THE BRITISH MEDIA HAVE, TO SOME EXTENT, BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN DAMAGING THE IMAGE OF FERNANDO ALONSO. BUT, THE TRUTH WILL NEVER HIDE-- HE IS A GREAT DRIVER, GREAT SPORTSMAN! TWICE DEFEATING MICHAEL SCHUMACHER AND BECOMING YOUNGEST F1 CHAMPION UNTIL HAMILTON. THE MEDIA HAS BEEN HIGHLY IRRESPONSIBLE IN
SHADING ALSO'S HIGHLY JUSTIFIED RESENTMENT AGAINST SPECIAL TREATMENT TO A NOVICE HAMILTON. SICK ARE THE PEOPLE WHO SAY ALONSO IS NOT A GOOD SPORTSMAN. ONLY SUCH PEOPLE NEEDS TO BE THROWN OUT FROM THE DISCUSSIONS ON F1.
