People who find Hamilton big headed, well he is. But ask yourself why.
To be the best, you have to believe and say out loud you are the best.
It's called 'positive affirmation', or in normal language, self belief.

All Hamilton is doing, is this. Shy people often end up telling everyone they are confident. Or plain looking people claim they are 'handsome'. Without this, they won't get anywhere, as to succeed - they need positive statements.

It may annoy people, but he has 20 podiums out of 31 races so far since joining the sport. Hamilton lost the WDC by just 1 point, on his first attempt trying!

Hardly modest either.

"I know pretty much every single manoeuvre in the book, and that''s why I''m the best at my job. We are talking about a skilled driver under intense pressure making a split-second decision which no-one, not unless they are in Formula One, can comprehend."

.........Puh-lease....God I hope Massa wins the championship, Lewis is so full of himself. Of course he is skilled at racing cars but he was given everything on a silver platter, he should be good. But the best? Come on Lewis. Show some gratitude. Show some humility. Have some respect for your competitors. He''s made a staunch Massa fan out of me, that''s for sure.

No bias I just prefer people that aren't full of themselves.

5-0 huh, so nobody agrees that his comment was a bit self-loving, a bit over the top? I must have ran into a pack of Lewis fanboys...

John,I prefer people who are prepared to drive hard in all conditions and who appear to show a little excitement and panache.I do not follow motorsport to see people's characters or how they come over in interviews.Racing is the name of the game not who has the best table manners!Enjoy him while you can because otherwise this sport would be a whole lot duller or is that what you want ?

Regarding the score you referred to John,it is as I keep repeating a British website.A comment I hear from Australians is that we Brits do not get behind our sports stars enough!Maybe this time we are! :)

Hmmmmm,Charlie REDding, sorry, i mean Charlie Whiting seems to be back tracking. It doesn't bode very well. Also, why on earth was Hamilton questioned for over 5 hours,it seems very extreme.

"Hamilton lost the WDC by just 1 point, on his first attempt trying"

Has anybody forgotten about Jacques Villeneuve? He did almost exactly the same thing in his first year, and he actually did better than Lewis when he almost won his first race, with only a problem relegating him to 2nd. Villeneuve lost the WDC because of a wheelnut, rather than pressing the wrong button on the steering wheel!

And you can't compare Ali with Hamilton. Ali is in a sport where everything depends on the sportsman himself, therefore he can be less modest. F1 depends on the car's performance as well as the driver. I'd like to see Hamilton in a Renault performing car before I accept his bigheadedness...

I like Hamilton, he's a young generation an is attitue has helped me appreciate more Casey Stoner who is similar but evenmore full of it.... I guess it's just the ol f4arts who on't get it, these young kids never had it so good.

On another point, apart from LH you can now stick F1 up your 4rse,, 5 hour grilling by laywers over a racing incident??? Absolutely disgraceful for a young sports man, it shows the desperation of the governing body to win despite the facts, anybody involved or supporting this madness should hold their head in shame......If this has never happened before there can be no more question about corruption of the worst type...
