I think thats a bit **** really, there wasnt anything Nick could do - you need to be slow entering the pits, and the entrance is on the racing line. Would they prefer him to ignore that and cut across the racing line like Rubens did?

Here we go again. Once again we have incomprehensable decisions being made by the stewards. Shouldn't there be an investigation by the FIA to establish who signed off this track design?

Well I just saw the qualifying again & Nick was in the middle of the track. On friday practice there was a solid white line around the left side of the last to corners for the pit entry, it was removed for quali as the cars lost grip on it but you can still see where it was, nick was all 4 wheels out side this line. Of course this does not justify stupid penaltys when the track is at fault.

interesting though it is they slapped rubens with a 10,000 euro fine for the same incident because when nick impeded rubens fast lap slowing down, rubens abandoned the lap and headed into the pitlane but did not use the decellaeration lane and cut over the line into the pitlane.

Bizarre decision if you ask me. I know that Nick came out over the line, but to have the pit entrance line around 2 corners, with parts of it on the racing line in the first place was not the best idea in the world. It was down to a bit of bad designing in the first place, and then bad timing/ bad luck to have 2 cars there.

I think its just one of those thing - and considering everything else they have had to get up and running, I am sure it'll be sorted for next year.

Nick should be on the inside line- he wasn't. And it is enough to penalize him. Period.

Plz stop childish discutions around here.

No not at all I think it was the latest in a ludicrous series of decisions made by the amateur stewards who control this most technical of sports.
