derek as much as i agree with youre comments you could have put it a bit nicer than that.

as for flavio well what can i say he loves fernando and every time he bends over it is for him, as for pat symonds well im suprised hes a clever cookie and no dummy but it just goes to show what you will say when you have not got another team hunting your talents and that is how it works in the hightec area these guys are in.

Impressive drive from Fernando today.
Best moment in the GP, after the drivers weighting (is that the right word? i'm not english...) if you gave enough attention to what was said, you could hear an official asking Flavio to make it quick. And Flavio simply answered:
-We have been waiting that for 6 months...
And his eyes where adding:
-So stuff it up we will revel in the victory for as long as we want!!! :)

Was I imagining it, or was it just a tad frosty on the podium?

Without the safety cars, would have been a sterile race - maybe a wonderful track and atmosphere for thosed actually there(and Singapore is an amazing city to visit), but I couldn't help feeling that, on TV at any rate, it was all a little sterile.
And as for the latest pit-lane disaster, Peter Windsor, on Speed TV (USA) summed it all up brilliantly "A rule that was brought in to avoid dangerous pitlane situations results in this - go figure". Finally, I assume everyone has noticed that Ferrari reverted to the old-fashioned lollipop after Massa's incident.

I thought FA did a great job in holding down his rivals & keeping his car on the tracks. Finally, Renault has given FA a car he can compete with. Even as a McLaren fan, I'm getting tired of seeing the FM vs LH duel at every race.

This race also speaks well of customer cars. 3 cars out of the top 8 finishers were customer cars, that includes NR in a Williams-Toyota. I think with Prodrive added into the mix, things could be more interesting.

Now, with F1 full of controversy, would it be out of line for me to say that Nelson binned it after Alonso pitted for Alonso to take advantage? Very clever... 'Nelson, once Alonso has pitted, park your car infront of the grandstand, there's a good boy'... Fabrio's comments were quite short on the matter, actually blaming Barrichello for the saftey car!

Don't get me wrong, I applaud Alonso for his pace and defence of P1... brilliant drive. Me thinks there may be less pantomime in WWF?!

I agree with MG that this causes some suspicion.

Nelson's crash was very timely. It was right before the leading cars had to pit based on a 3 stop strategy that most of them was adopting.

It gets even more interesting as Renault decided to put Alonson on a low fuel early stint strategy (even this was not standard strategy for a car starting so far back on a nearly un-passable track). And Alonso pited right before Nelson's crash at an area that will gurantee a Safety Car.

Was it something pre-planned by Renault? Could we sense it in Flavio post-race interviews?

Lets be honest, the majority of the palces he won had nothing to do with skill, it was to do with luck.
Is Passing in the Pits the only thing F1 has to offer these days? :?

I would be the first to admit, he did well to capilise on the oppunity he got though. :)
