Oh thank god Christmas just came early. I have only three more times to listen to James bloody Allen warble ''GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO'' and Louise Goodman ask the inane question of the driver who has just crashed/broken down whether they are disappointed. Sorry for Ted Kravitz as he was good with team info but good riddance to the rest.

All sounds good, apart from being studio based. I really like the fact that ITV are broadcasting on site. The Beed should at least do this for the European races. Also not convinced about Jake Humphries bit of a muppet if you ask me, would have prefered to keep Steve Ryder Oh and the **** has been stopped!!!

Great line up if Blundell is swapped for Brundle. Blundell has always delivered a superior commentary and is more personable

How does Brundle get away with it. Who wants someone who has to suck up to Bernie every time he meets him. Makes me want to vomit.

What has bothered me most about James Allen is that, a bit like a American commentators, he often talks through the winner crossing the line, as though it is not particularly interesting - unless of course when its Hamilton, when he proceeds to scream and shout.

Don't get me wrong, I want Hamilton to win the title, but Jonathan Legard is a balanced commentator, because he knows the sport and is interested in all the drivers and their respective careers. Shame Maurice Hamilton isn't onboard too from Five Live F1, very knowlegable man and I've always like the three commentator setup - like Eurosports sadly departing MotoGP coverage.

Herbert Clinker, spot-on, I'm english and proud of it and if you accused my wife of being British she'd lamp you - and she's a Scot. BUUUUUUT I hope the Beeb commentary is in their traditional style of 95% Unbiased 5% biased, think about good old Bill McLaren at the Rugby for example or Motty on the football. Mind you, no-one more biased than Murray Walker and e loved him just the same, must be something about James allen

Great news. I have listened to F1 commentary since the 80s and Brundle is the best thing about the circus at the moment. Glad to see the back of James allen, although he is less annoying now than when he started, back then i always wondered if brundle was going to tell him to shut up. Kravitz wont be missed "listen to me guys! i think (insert team here) have got it wrong!" ...then we return to commentary box for brundle to put him right, every time!
And I wont miss Mark "situation" Blundell with his "mmm its an interesting situation we could have a safety car situation i think could have a very interesting situation situation"

Everyone forgets the BBC of old, soccer was more important and overruns have to switch channel. No before and after sessions and briefings.

You will get the camera man that likes to challenge the capabilities of his craft at the expense of race enjoyment. You will get the high profile viewing of the presenter as being more important than the sport.

Then being the BBC and West London centric, they will do the PC bit and include the ethnic minorities that are not up to scratch just to be seen to be on message.

Be careful for what you wish for.

O what joy to get the coverage of the fastest sport back onto a presenter who show ALL of the racing and not wander off to adverts, that was bad enough but the ITV never showded anything of note that happened in the interval. The team seems good so I wish them well.
