The new Monaco? I think not, its too mainstream and a bit poor to be anywhere near the ambiance and grandeur that is Monte Carlo and anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded. Oh and of course the racing is dull as dishwater here, were it not for Ferraris clown show it wouldve been as dull as Valencia.

Real racetracks are what are needed, Spa is the benchmark track

F1 » Singapore can 'challenge Monaco' as F1's jewel

Sir Frank Williams argues that there is merit in F1 ringmaster Bernie Ecclestone's desire to see more grands prix held in Asia and the Middle East, suggesting Singapore could go on to rival Monaco in the glamour-stakes in years to come.

Nah, it's never gonna be a rival to Monaco. It could however be a rival to Long Beach...

our problem the fans is bernie wants more money and its in the far east, although these tracks are boring, bernie could not care less it is obvious we are going to get more night racing now i just hope they come up with some decent tracks where overtaking is possible and does happen and we do not loose any of the european gp's that are still on the 2010 calander after all there is only so many races he can put on.

It may be good for bernies pocket but it's rubbish for us. :?

i see that redbull are now blaming stray signals from a passing tram, for causing webbers gearbox to select two gears at once. this is a new excuse! i dont think that this problem exists in monaco. whereas i dont like street circuits, at least monaco has some character whereas singapore is utterly featureless, even in the daylight.
