Grosjean certainly isn''t ready, Bourdais or Di Grassi are good bets I reckon.

F1 » Briatore hints at Piquet exit, change in role

Renault F1 managing director Flavio Briatore admits under-fire rookie Nelsinho Piquet 'has not had a good season' in the top flight in 2008, as the Italian confirms that he is to relinquish some of his own responsibilities at the former double world championship-winning outfit in 2009.

Agreed. Only thing certain is that Nelson sure won't be back in a Renault next year.

I would drop Piquet now and try Grosjean or Di Grassi for the last 3 races which could give Renault an indication as to whether to offer them a race seat next year.

i don't think any of these guys would have done better than Piquet did
when racing against Lewis in gp2, so i have to believe they won't do
any better next year. Like Heiki also didn't...
