The budget is very good indeed and I do hope that talent will be highlighted more so than other series that are heavily dependant on financial backing. you think your seeing the best drivers at the front? Well, newsflash, it don't work like that!

£200,000 is still an incredible amount of money to find, especially in this modern economic climate.

The main problem is people with money are smart, and WILL be able to spend on other things to improve their driver. Money will ALWAYS bring advantages. So the series may cost 200,000 but don't think drivers won't be thinking of other ways to bring an advantage.

Formula Two is a step in the right direction :), but a dose of realism is needed

The newly re-launched FIA Formula Two Championship will be a series in which the cream will rise to the top, MotorSport Vision chief executive and former F1 ace Jonathan Palmer underlines - and then they will progress to the grand prix grid.

i am unsure of full spec for these cars, but i have just seen the new A1 cars. these are something else. ferrari derived chassis, ferrari 4.5l engines, michelin slicks etc. although i am not keen on the "countries" idea, i think that this formuls would be a better percursor to F1. but i will wait to see the standard of racing in both A1 and F2.
