It was obviously going to go: there's been overtaking there in past years... :)

That''s a shame, I quite like Canada. I''d rather have it on the Calander than some of the Tinkledromes.

Also, the fact that there are now no North America races and another middle east one makes Bernies agenda ever more obvious.

bouncer, i doubt if canada will be back! as foo alludes, the middle and far east is where the dwarf sees the glint of gold. montreal was maybe not the best of circuits, but it is still a hell of a lot better than singapore! Oh for the good old days! whats the betting that the british gp will also vanish? spain has again got two gps, one on the attrocius valencia circuit. wasnt it said a few years ago that to have two gps in one country was inequitable. that is why germany lost one of their two, despite having the most drivers in the field.

what a terrible move by Bernie and F1. How can you be a true World Championship without North America?

I couldn't care less. The Montreal circuit sucks anyway.

North America?! Those people only care about Nascar and themselves. Good riddens.

How can anyone choose any of the new circuits over Montreal? It had the yearly first corner drama, until recently plenty of overtaking with the heavy braking areas and lots of mistakes costing people dear (champions wall). i reckon the new regs would have spiced the action up a plenty on a track like this.

instead off we trudge to a lump of tarmac and concrete in the middle of the desert which will be used once a year and all the drivers will compain of the sand off-line and the consequential lack of overtaking.
