Hill says that Hamilton learns quick?? This is the end of his second year in F1. Looking at his opportunities he by now should have waaaay over 110 points. He is impressing with his skill and grit but he is still making the same mistakes that he did in his rookie year, he loses his head. His antics at the first turn last weekend in Japan were totally stupid. Someone with a minimal chance of the Championship could undertake such a move but not someone who is leading 9 points.
Massa is the same story. Stupid mistakes, blown engine, lollypopincident...
Both should learn from Schumacher. But I am afraid both are not even close to Schumacher and never will be.

"Sunday''s race was a lesson, and Lewis learns very quickly." Damon Hill.

This is I suppose the whole point, LH doesn''t learn and his attitude suggests he''ll never learn. Perhaps it''s not all his fault, the strides in car safety plus the examples of Senna and Schumacher are too much for a mindset nurtured by his father and Ron Dennis encourage this recklessness especially when only others on track are likely to suffer.

Hmm, can somebody at Crash explain to me how Lewis could have won the title at Fuji? He went with a 7 point lead, and if nobody had scored but him, he would have led by 17 with 20 remaining.

Facepalm.

Hamilton was fine in Fuji - he drove like Montoya/Senna used to.

It was Massa who was wreckless. Hamilton didn't hit anyone.

In simple terms, getting the holeshot at Fuji was not a pre-requisite for victory since Lewis and other drivers showed there were places where overtakes could be carried out safely. In Monaco on the other hand, getting the holeshot and having a good strategy can mean a victory from the lights.

If Lewis can harness the racer in him and think like the great Alain Prost, the Professor, he will get away well, sit behind whosoever is in front and pass them at the right time--on track, or in the pits--to maximise his points total.

He is now racing against the 3 Ferraris--this includes Alonso! Good luck Lewis, you can do it by being fast but not loose: measured and not ragged. Champion-elect!

RaceFan - Good Suggestion, but it will fall on ducks back. We all ready have a Driver in Professor's mould that is Vettel. Lewis is "Perfect" and "Perfection and Lewis have no scope of improvement"
