Very good move. F1 was at it's best when all teams except Ferrari used Ford Cosworth engines.

Can you honestly see Ferrari or any of the other manufacturers agreeing to use someone elses engines?
Why not just have standardized chassis as well and re-name it GP1!!!
If the FIA as so serious about cost cutting then let the teams sort it out between themselves!

What a load of bollox, no point having manufacturers in the sport then....can't see merc, bmw staying in the game if thats the case.....just another way to line Ferrari's pockets says the cynic in me....just think they could have a special gizmo to screw with the other teams...failing that they just give em all badly built engines lol

Sounds like GP2 to me - Formula 1 was meant to be a technical showcase. Were is the innovation going to come from? Oh, sorry, can't do that, you might gain an advantage!

CANT SEE FERRARI WANTING A RENAULT ENGINED CAR.SURELY IF ALL HAD SAME CHASSIS WITH NO AERO AND TYRES THAT WOULD ONLY LAST 1/3RD DISTANCE MANUFACTURERS AND TEAMS WOULD CUT COSTS AND RACING WOULD BE TIGHTER.

FFS! Why not just make GP2 the new F1 and slot F2 in above GP3 - that should keep the powers that be happy (well, Max, Bernie and Flavio anyway)

bye bye to BMW, Renault, Toyota, Honda, Mercedes
no point for them to stay in F1 if they can't fit their own engines.

If this goes ahead the manufacturer of the engines should not be able to field a team. That would be one of the biggest conflicts of interest ever.

Hopefully the backlash from the teams will result in this decision being dumped.
