This is very honest assesment by Ferrari. According to all the stats, Ferrari has the fastest car in F1 and by some distance. Ferrari were expecting a 1-2 in China. Apparently questions will be asked at senior level about the drivers if Massa does not win the championship because the F2008 car is supposed to be that good. One story is that the Ferrari set-up for Schumacher and Kimi has issue with this or maybe LH just gets that much more out of his McClaren? Brazil should be good

Very strange indeed considering that they have Wee Willie Ecclescake-Max "Lash Larue" Moseley with all of the power of the FIA, not to mention the stewards, plus quite a few sycophantic drivers hoping for a job, on their side.I smell a rat.

Could this be Ferrari trying to groom Lewis in some way for the future? I know it is almost impossible for that to happen, considering the close ties between Ron and Lewis. But first we have Rob Smedley now Domenicali, commenting on how good there car is and how good McLarens driver is!

I see no reason why Hamilton won't defect to Ferrari eventually if Ron Retires.
Especially, if by some luck he wins 2008 + 2009 WDC.

Ferrari would prefer 2X WDC Hamilton than 2X WDC Alonso as Alonso betrayed an entire team and a CEO (Ron). Hamilton has never done this, and can be trusted more by Ferrari.

Ferrari must think beyond 2010 if they are thinking on bringing back the losing popularity and sagging image of Ferrari & F1.

Rossi said after winning the 2008 MotoGP record 6th title:

"I'd like to drive a Ferrari again. Not a road car, but the F1 one".
He insisted that "it would be a simple desire, with no future in it."

Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicali, who has remained in close contact with Rossi since his first test with Ferrari in 2004, welcomed the proposal.

"He's great," the Italian said, adding that "everything can be done". :)

It proves that Ferrari kept the doors open to Rossi. Hope they'll try to rope him into F1 in the 2011 season...nothing is impossible to do :)

Steve Jobs can we please try not to distort history, in particular events that occured during 2007. It is yesterday and if you do not recall them you must have some problem with your memory. Alonso was a small fry in the spy saga. In the words of Ron Dennis, eventually, he had to admit that the Ferrari information was widespread among officers and employees of McLaren. Having said this I would not like to see Alonso driving for Ferrari as I do not think he fits the Ferrari mentality. I do not think Hamilton would want to race for Ferrari but if he does why not even without any WDC. Ferrari inspires drivers to become WDCs....
