There is no doubt that Nico Rosberg is a genuine talent in Formula 1, he just needs the car to be more suitable to his talent which is bbeyong questions as it is there he just needs the right car for him to show what he can do, and I do agree with Clemens that the loss of Alexander Wurx has been costly in my opinion as I am not convinced totally on Nakajima in all honesty. And if he does not get that he will walk in to a top LMS ride with Peuegot and Audi for example.

F1 » Rosberg's lost time at Williams is 'tragic'

Nico Rosberg's F1 career may never fulfil its potential should Williams remain uncompetitive, fear Niki Lauda and Christian Danner - as even the man himself admits without the rule changes next year he would have 'lost faith'.

This is why Champ Car was a good thing...

As much as I would love to see this young man''s combination of strong values and driving talent rewarded in the course of a Williams renaissance, I just don''t see it coming. Perhaps the unknown parameters of the KERS will allow both of these deserving parties to reap their just rewards. What would be better than seeing an "old guard" team like Williams return to the sharp end of the grid, with this young second generation hotshoe at the wheel....

Lost time? I think he's developed and matured rather nicely...

But if a new Williams renaissance is truly what he wants to be part of then he's jusr shot himself in the foot. Not a very good statement to attract sponsors to the team - if not even the drivers believe they'll get closer to the front then surely that could tempt the sponsors to look for another team that has visions and genuine hunger for success!

re: Champ Car..would that this series experienced a rebith as well, or better yet, a return to the heyday of FIA sportscars in the 60's for example, when well heeled privateers could pound out a tub, bolt on some F1 suspension parts, and drop in an experimental F1 racing engine and take to the great tracks of the world...some of the finest moments racing has ever seen, as well as some of it's best examples of driving..how I wish drivers, young and old had this forum in which to display their talents...DTM is the closest thing to this we have these days. I believe fans would come in hordes to see such racing again, either as a support or stand alone event...I know I would...

i think Alex Wurz was a very good development driver -- without him Wiliams lost speed throughout 2008. Pitty for Rosberg, but 2 young guns in one team seem's to be a problem.

This discussion is a clear example of why a lot of people get pissed off with someone like Hamilton when he makes arrogant statements and uses phrases like "destroying the opposition" and when he refers to "the monkeys" at the back of the grid. I know this topic does not involve him directly and I am no hater, but the facts are the facts and HE DID use those words.

I just hope he somehow manages to earn the respect of his peers, should he win the WDC this weekend!

Rosberg really does deserve a car to match his talent. It's sad to see a genuine bloke of real talent (and morals) languishing in the midfield.

I think if Rosberg gets a decent offer he should take it and tell Frank to get lost as he has been apt to do to his driver's whenever he felt like it.
