Where are the people who accused Alonso of possibily crashing into Lewis in the last race?

He just proved with much slower Renault, he could finish quicker than Lewis 3 times in the last 4 races.

I can''t wait to see Alonso fights in the championship battle. No matter what people say, he is still the most championship winner in the paddok. And he is the one who fought with Schumacher.

Renault finally understood how to work those Bridgestone tyres, and made the right choice about developing the car through the year. Add a driver who only needs to be less than 5 tenth slower to pretend for wins, et voila !

YET, even if a strong team at the end of a season is usually competitive the one after, next will see so many technical regulation changes that it''s difficult to predict if Renault can get them right at once from the start. I just hope they can, it will make the sport even more interesting (at least for me).

A great drive once again from Alonso. F1 is all the better to have him competing at the front where he belongs. Hopefully next season we'll have him battling against Hamilton, Massa and Raikkonen for the title.

The more drivers and teams that can battle for wins and titles is better for F1.

Agreed Andrew. ITV have been a major culprit(Mark Blundell especially). They have been guilty of spreading more than enough anti-Alonso nonsense over this season. Some of their coverage has been straight from the gutter, playing into the hands of the 'we hate Alonso' club that has built up among British F1 fans. It's time people dropped the past and learn to appreciate both Alonso and Hamilton's driving skills. You don't have to like them, but at least be appreciative of both men's driving skill.

Blundell is a disgrace as an 'expert' and just one more thing from ITV's coverage that i'm glad to see the back of.

Anyone would think that it wasn't just the timing of the pitstop that put Alonso third. If you want to base results on confused wet races, you are in for disappointment.

Er Kowaslski I think you'll find that Alonso beat both Mclarens on merit wet or dry and was a match for the ferrari for most of the race, and even Brundle agrees, the best driver is Alonso and its just a shame he didnt have this improved Renault for the first half of the season, coz if he did we all know it would of been Fernando who's a 3 times world champion.
