yeah bernie i'm sure its only meant as a joke,however i'm sure the hamilton family did'nt see the funny side....is it just me or is bernie saying stupid things again ? every time he makes a comment lately its wierd,i mean the 2012 olympic earthquake comment was a stupid remark and now racial hatred is only a joke....put your feet up in a nice retirement home where you'll be looked after bernie or just think before you speak.

I think I have an idea of what Pepito is on about..

- Site was launched in 2007 and most of the comments are old aswell.
- It was a very very maginal phenomenon that had few visitors - until it was brought to the front pages of crash and other sites, thus skyrocketing the visitor numbers.

I have personally never seen the page, but popping tyres is not racism, and neither is voodoo. If individual visitors have made racist comments, that does not make the site itself (or the whole of the spanish people for that matter) racist.

My impression is that said site was lame & stupid, and frequented by a minor group of lame & stupid people. But that's hardly a government matter. It's gone. Move on.

What Pepito is saying is that the site was created during the 2007 season and that most of the comments also date from 2007. He is also saying that it didn't cause a problem in 2007 because the media pack didn't spot it at the time and so it didn't get the media spin. This year it did get spotted, the (presumably British) media added the 'voodoo' label to give the headlines an extra racist edge. I daresay somebody in the media wad been aware of it for a while and has kept it up their sleeve ready for a big media splash in the run up to this season's finale.

I think that's more or less what Pepito is trying to say anyway. I hope that helps.

If this follows Bernies recent erratic patterns, he'll be photographed shaking hands with Nelson Mandela before the weekends out, expressing utter outrage at anything even remotely racist. Then by wednesday he'll be spotted at a KKK lynching.

I'm not going to make any comments about his height - I'm not particularly tall myself. I'm not going to comment on his age - although in some quarters a man in his 70s making erratic and bizarre comments is regarded as a symptom. I'm goig to comment on his comments. Sorry Bernie, you are wrong. This is nasty, un-needed and reflects VERY badly on F1. Rather than shrug it off, you need to condemn it as unrepresentative of the sport and its fans.
