F1 » Button: I'd have won F1 title in Lewis' car

Britain's 'other' F1 star Jenson Button contends that had he been at McLaren-Mercedes in 2008, he would have been world champion - and insists Lewis Hamilton would not have done as well as he did at Honda.

What a loser Button is!

“If only..” is something that only someone who is not doing well can come up with. Granted Hamilton has had winning cars, but you get doors opened to you based on your talent/current performance.

If Button is happy to stay with Honda and sacrifice his future results for fantastic money doing nothing at the back of the grid, then so be it. Button seems to suggest that he is a great driver “Hamilton wouldn't have done as good as me in the Honda” – but I think that Lewis would have done. Hell even Barrichello scored nearly 4 times as many points as Button in the same car. Every year Button says "next year Honda will be good" the next year comes & their not

Jensen maybe could have done a good job in the McLaren but the thing that really seperates the best drivers from the rest is to ensure that you are always in the best car or can develop a team into the best as Prost, Lauda, Schumacher etc always did. Jensen has failed dismally in this respect.

Being Enlgish I would like to believe that, but I can't! I think Hamilton would have consistantly beat him comfortably in the Honda, hes just a better driver. From the outside it looks like Button just turns up to each race to collect his cheque. Sorry mate, but its easy to talk about it especially when you know its highly unlikely the day will come when you actually have to step up to the mark and prove your point!
