F1 » de la Rosa 'just a friend'

Pedro de la Rosa was merely providing a fresh opinion of the VJM01, according to the Force India team.

a) Ferrari-ForceF1 contract ends 31-Dec-08. Mercedes Contract starts 01-Jan-09.
b) This "we are just friends" statement sound like they recently had a break-up or very soon they will exchange the keys :p

Some drivers are best known for their Technical capabilities Wurz/Rosa/Gene/Badoer are those types. Put them in race situation and suddenly they seem to forget all their art :(
That reminds me how Keke was weeping buckets when Wurz Made way for Kaz Nakajima. All development prowess Alex showed, helped Rosberg to get a better car under him and then beat the **** out of Wurz in race :D :D

Actually, that might be why Pedro is in the car - to assess what needs to be done to prepare it for a McL drive train.

Yeah, Ferrari customer engines are rubbish, that's why STR managed to win with them.

Interesting question though - why are they bringing in PdlR to test a 2008-spec car now?

jack, timing sheets show car as a Force india ferrari. it would be impossible, in the space of a week, to either build or adapt a car to take a merc engine. the team will be pushed to make the changes required by march.

i presume that pedro had his notebook with him when he was driving a ferrari powered car. in fact, i am rather surprised that he was not blocked from this drive.
