schumi is right. i dont remember any race where rubens was superior to schumi, and if memory serves me correctly, in austria, schumi had come from behind and as points were critical at that time, rubens was asked to move over. schumi was in the faster car but as with current cars, actually passing is difficult. as a result of this incident, the rules were changed to ban team orders, but as could be seen this year, they still exist in several teams. if rubens was fast, then he would have been headhunted, and he wasnt. doesnt that say it all?

Of course you don't remember him being faster, he was never allowed to be. I think we are about to find out the truth about Michael Schumacher.

Why did Rubens stay for so long if his position in the team was so bad ? perhaps he was made an offer he couldn't refuse !!! He could have jumped ship like Eddie did and went where ?

kowalski, "he was never allowed to be". what rubbish, how many times did rubens beat schumi in quali, was this because he wasnt allowed to?? how on earth could that be orchestrated? rubens has NEVER proven to the world that he was fast, either before, during or after ferrari. he was secont to schumi, because he was in a ferrari. end of story. like him or not, accept the fact that schumi was unique and instead of trying to find fault with him, why not be glad that you were alive and able to see his talent. it will be a number of years before we see the like again.

The fact that it was written into both drivers contracts that MS would get the updates first, priority in the garage and strategy and would be the unchallenged number one - Rubens was never going to get the better of MS as a square go was never going to be allowed....Rubens probably stayed as long as he did because he was hoping to have his loyalty rewarded and gain a fair shot at the title...

Ruben has a rep as a moaner and as he seems poised to leave F-1, he might want to go out on a less contentious note. He can do nothing to diminish Suhmi's rep and everything his own if he keeps it up.

JH has a point though - if too close - sorry you do not see his data - bet he could see JH's though. These tactics are really sad - you need to leave if you have Balls if this happens (Rubens didn't). JH was pushed.

MS fans will always say he was the fastest and non-MS fans will say his team-mates were always driving under "instruction"...it'll never change

And hears me thinking Rubens was going to ditch the dirt on how Schumacher was batting for the other side after brazilian piss up gig with massa - does it not run in the family with Cora being a cover for Ralf liking the sausage?! :)
