The 2008 Autocourse annual is now just around the corner - and it has received the ringing endorsement of none other than legendary F1 commentator Murray Walker...

davidson - I had a peek at the "official" season review book from last season, and you're right, its just full of pretty colours and sub-standard race reviews.

I buy "The Formula 1 Yearbook" for 2 things, firstly, they do some excellent race reviews coupled together with a full set of stats for each race, secondly, they have drawings of each teams car by an artist called Pierre Menard and they are stunning. Im sure Autocourse is just as good if not better than the Yearbook, but one things for sure, they both make the "Official" review book look pretty amateurish.

Id love to know myself how much the older Autocourses are going for, im guessing at small fortunes

yep i switched last year after stupidly buying the appalling official f1 book. You would think with the money and image of f1 they would have the best book - they don't - looks like they are just trying to make as much money out of usfans as they possibly can...

I didn't know if to laugh or cry the other day - have you seen how much the f1 mouse mat is of the official site...!!! £250

Jack McGhee - do it, I also get them every year. Christmas would not be the same without my Autocourse.

I've been wanting to start up a collection of Autocourse for a while now, i've got a collection of "The Formula 1 Yearbook" done by Luc Domenjoz dating back to 1991, would be nice to see how they compare.

I have a collection of Autocourse which my father started collecting in the 60's, we have every edition since 1965 when I was born, it's brilliant and now my son is collecting Motocourse.

Absolutely, I collect both Autocourse and Motocourse.

If you're familiar with the official F1 and Moto GP yearbooks, then these are twice the size in both format and pagination, they are also twice as good but sadly cost a little more, but after all you get what you pay for.

Just ask Max Mosley!
