Good! I would rank him 3rd after Lewis and Vetel because of his fastest laps after fastest laps, because he''s fast in all conditions and the end points do not reflect his performance.

Next list

1. Lewis
2. Vettel
3. Fernando
4. Massa
5. Kubica

2008 facts:
Rank race: Hamilton85,Massa90,Raikk97,Kubica98,Alonso113
Rank Q: Massa53,Hamilton55,Kova70,Raikk74,Kubica110
Fast lap: Raikkonen35,Massa62,Hamilton80,Kova109,Heidfeld111
Sum above: Massa205,Raikk206,Hamilton220,Kova299,Kubica321

In fact. Kimi was almost the overall best driver in 08 (according to this), and this Year he was alsothe man with the best fast lap results since 2000 (and before?) in F1, GP2, Cart/Indy and MotoGP. Failure?

I think I ranked him seventh, so close enough but I suppose this means that the perennially underrated Nick Heidfeld has been elbowed from the top ten.

Huh.

again about right. bourdais was the only surprise but this now means that kovi is 11th or worse. i feel that despite his treatment this year, that he should have been above bourdais, as should nick, who is in danger of not being in top 10.and dont forget this would mean webber being rated higher than kovi and/or nick

Kimi was thrust into the world of F1 at a very young age when he was nominated to the team of Peter Sauber. Bernie Ecclestone even insisted on a test to determine if Kimi would be safe driving the F1 machines. Kimi had been a clear #1 at Sauber(slaughtering Heidfeld),and McLaren(slaughtering Coulthard, and Montoya). He is for the first time up against another driver performing near his level, and it is an awakening for the Kimster.

2009 may be more of the same from Kimi!

Eerm Guppy200......actually it was Heidfeld who out raced Kimi in the Sauber days and people were very surprised Mclaren chose Kimi, instead of Heidfeld, get a grip mate.
