I think that there's some misunderstanding here...
Murray is right... RB is still one heck of a driver and should stay in my opinion at Honda...
It's JB that should go...
He has proved absolutely nothing all these years and this year has been out qualified by RB in most races... I think 14 of them if I:'m not mistaken.

F1 » Honda told: Keep Rubens over Senna

Honda would do well to retain the highly-experienced and still motivated Rubens Barrichello rather than take a risk on GP2 Series graduate Bruno Senna in 2009 - that is the view of veteran commentator Murray Walker.

If Indeed Honda are that keen to get "Fresh Blood" on board, Its time for both JB and RB to be dropped. Honestly, even if everyone knows that Honda has provided lousy car to the drivers, JB hasn't brought anything "extra" onboard,

Here is observation from Mark Hughes ITV Analyst - "RB has a more adaptable driving style than Button, allowing him to drive around a bad car's problems better. He's also very, very good at analysing the dynamics of a car and enabled Honda to learn things Button hadn't uncovered."

So as if the "Brit Mgmt(Nick Fry)" is really keen to take team to next level, make the bitter choice and cut JB Loose.Don't cover him just becoz he is Brit. JB is pass sell by

The thing that pisses me off big time is that Murry is saying that Bruno will make it to F1 partly based on his Ayrton's surname but none of the following drivers were accussed of that, just Bruno!

Ralf Schumacher
Nelson Piquet Jnr
Nico Rosberg
Kasuki Nakajima!!!!!!

And will Prost jnr get the same comments if he makes it to F1?

Murry may not want to see Bruno in F1 but a lot do, me included! :)

If Senna won the GP2 series then he knows how to set up a race car and communicate with engineers. Murray Walker this is 2008 not fifties when everything was trial and error with computers.

Personally if I were Rubens I wouldn't want to stay at a team that is clearly looking to replace me instead of his team-mate who Rubens routinely beat into submission this year both in qualifying and races. Rubens drove just as well as he did this year as when he was second to Michael Schumacher back in the Ferrari days, and should still be on the grid next year, whereas the likes of Button, Nakajima and Piquet are kept on despite performing well below what people were expecting of them! However I am not discounting Bruno Senna's abilities, you only have to watch his drive to victory at Monaco in GP2 this year, and his impressive form for Honda last week to see he should be in F1 in 2009

gaz, i certainly remember that RS, NP and NR have ALL been accused of getting into F1, because of their family name. RS suited the climate at the time as two brothers in F1 was promotionally good. the last brothers were rodriguez bros. NP was slagged off as he was his fathers son, and many people did not rate NP snr very highly. NR was in a similar situation, but he has proven to have abilities in his own right. Naka has not been subjected to quite the same accusations as few remember his father.but to give these mentioned drivers their dues, i have not heard them using their family connections quite as much as "senna"

Rich ard, to be fair to Bruno, neither has he....the media have! Bruno has made it clear numerous times that he wants to be his own man and not rely on Ayrton's name or history. Bruno should have stuck with Lalli and then he wouldn't be subjected to all this crap.

The guy can drive a racing car and has done wonders to get where he is, on his driving!

If Bruno was crap, he wouldn't have been offered an F1 test! That would be getting to F1 on your name!

@FrankG, it was 10-8 to Barrichello, so quite close.
Murray is spot on. I believe that Honda is a growing team, and this is a time that they need as much experience as possible: what is the use of putting a rookie in the team who probably won't be able to provide decent feedback. They can start putting young drivers with famous names in the team when they are actually getting results and becoming a top 4 team. It makes no sense to me whatsoever to put a new kid in right now.
And why Bruno anyway, he didn't even win the bloody title, the name should count for NOTHING for his career!

How can Bruno prove he is good enough unless he gets the seat in a F1 car?
Now can Murray get to know Bruno is already 'ready' to the jump if he is behind other drivers' backs? It's interesting to me. If the testings aren't the basis what can be the basis?
