what hamilton 4th who is first i bet you that the top three will be vettel massa and alonso

This is hilarious, really. The man with the most points at the end of the season, even after points being taken away from him, not to mention that he finished 45 points ahead of his team mate, is the "fourth best" driver.

I can see arguments for the others being better, but the level of Hamilton hating that goes on in the Crash comments is ridiculous.

What a crock o' crap. So the people who voted are saying that Alonso, who lucked into 2 wins due to misfortune to Massa and Hamilton, is better than someone who took 5 deserved victories on merit and Vettel, who albeit had a deserved victory and great end to the season but a very dodgy start, are better than the World Champion?

wins aint the defining factor in peoples opinion...I voted Vettel and Kubika as my top drivers. Vettel was top because he got better as the season went on, as did his car. I thought his driving style and ability, in the STR was better than anybody else on the grid in the cars they were in. In relation to Hamilton who was in the best car out there and was 1 of 3 people who were ultimately going to challenge. Having the best equipement and winning races doesnt mean your ultimately the best in my opinion. People have different opinions and thats fair enough but people cant say its this or that when they dont like the outcome...

this just goes to show how lame these polls are,the drivers who lose come higher than the driver who wins....wtf. everyone has favorites but to think your favorite is the best driver in f1 even when he loses is being a "fanboy".....

I'd be interested to know how many people voted with impartiality and how many voted with a "1". i gave him an 8, Kubica drove better.

Surprised to see Hamilton as low as 4th. I though he'd be 1 or 2 higher. I dn't think Massa deserves to be higher than Lewis, as he managed 1 less point with a car which was just as good (if not a shade better). He also had Raikkonens 'support' (China) but Kovalainen was never able to help Hamilton.

I do concur that Massa, Alonso and Vettel drove very well however, likewise Robert Kubica.

I'd be interested to know where Alonso finishes in the viewer poll this year vs 2007...

Josh, but Massa did win more races and I think that F1 and racing in general is also about wining, right?
And Alonso did "build" a car from scratch per say as it was undrivable in the beginning of the championsip.
Vettel won and proved him self in a car that well... was an end-runner for the last years...
But I agrre. I think Hamilton should be top 3 even it if were a tue with another driver.
