He didn´t get beaten by his team mate, Alonso was racing against the whole team, don´t you remember "Ron" saying: our enemy is Alonso... how pathetic!!!

It is sad you lot are so blind...

F1 » Santander confirm Ferrari deal, chasing Alonso

Spanish bank Santander has finally confirmed one of the worst-kept secrets in the F1 paddock - that it will move from McLaren-Mercedes to Ferrari in 2010. The question is, will Fernando Alonso join them?

Ferrari will have to ditch Raikkonnen AND Massa if Alfonso was to join them, because remember he can't handle a competitive team-mate. I think McLaren fans should PRAY for an Alfonso/Massa pairing, I really think Ferrari would become a bigger circus than it is.

FA may have not won 07 08 09, but he is probably the most complete driver..

hope he learns his lessons the hard way and be more humble..

The day Franco Alonso goes to Ferrari will be a very sad day. A great marque like Ferrari should have more consideration for its history, prestige and world-wide reputation.

As for the “best driver in the world” quote, I wouldn't dignify it with a response!!!
Prize for spoilt Prima-donna whining B1tch... Hell yeah he wins that one hands down.

I can't say this constitutes a surprise. Nor the comments such as "Beaten by a rookie", "with no pressure". FA did very well do tie Lewis that year with Ron Dennis working against him and yes, he is a fantastic open air driver but above all a very precise driver. Oh yes, he may not be the very best at it but he knows how to overtake as well.

Only problem with FA in a Ferrari in 2010 is that F1 truly will be boring again, just as it was with Michael in a Ferrari. :p

I don't care what he drives as long as the TV coverage gives me enough footage to enjoy. Early 2008 struggling with that car showed anyone who personally knows how to drive just how superior he is in the ****pit.

Yeah "best driver in the world" usually goes to the reigning world champion, yes FA was the best in 05 and 06 but its been Kimi and Lewis the last two years.

"Alonso is the best driver in the world" eh? good drives agreed, but with no pressure. Remember he got beaten by a rookie last year, so second best driver, I'll give him that!

I am glad I sold those Abbey national shares before this bloody spanish lot took over, and the wifes account is getting closed to, take note all those Brad & Bing and Alliance and Leicester.

When Scottish power was sold to Iberdrola I got rid of them also.

Vodafone saw sense and its obviously benefitted them

Alonso the best driver in the world??????? :?
He can't be:
--Being beaten by a rookie,
--Bemoening all the time
--He was unable to performe well in the 1st half of the season while Heiki was impressive with the same car in the 2nd part of 2007. So the Renault was already quick when he joined it in 2008.
