Kubica: BMW wasn't chasing same goal as me

He does say that BMW focused on rectifying Heidfeld's slump, so the fact that Heidfeld improved doesn't mean Kubica's form got worse. It lends to his point actually. Let's not forget that the car is the single most important factor in a driver's success. Does anyone disagree with that? So how can one say anything about a driver's performance without also knowing exactly what went on inside the team.

I agree that he shouldn't be talking badly about the team though. Just stick it out for a year and try for a better drive if you're not happy. Complaining only gives the team the urgency to replace you.

F1 » Kubica: BMW wasn't chasing same goal as me

The 2008 F1 season may be over, but Robert Kubica is still lamenting BMW-Sauber's late slump that he argues cost him the chance to fight for the crown - claiming he and the team were 'not pursuing the same goal'...

bobby, back to the old adage, you shouldnt bite the hand that feeds you. if you look at comparative performance with nick, you could see that it was YOUR performance that tailed off. and dont forget, your win only came as a result of being gifted it by lulu. the beemer was the 5th best car on the grid and you finished fourth, so you didnt actually do too badly.

Maybe they should get Vettel? It's good PR, a German in a German-Swiss team, and Vettel has proven himself worthy of a top drive.

Quite frankly, I don't believe what he says. I'm pretty sure they have different teams of people working on setup for drivers (i.e. Heidfeld) and working on car development. Surely they did not assign their aerodynamicists or engine developers on helping Heidfeld warm his tires?

I understand his frustration, but I certainly agree with you all, this kind of statement can hardly do him any good in the long run.

for me you're talking so carefully which become sick. If you want something just go and get it! This guy shows BMW that he want something clear-cut and it's even best for everybody to take a lesson and improve! For me Rosberg is now too softly to Williams and should pin them down if they want to be something in F1. Look how many drivers remain silent despite bad results and it just don't pay off. Barichello complaining his years beside Shumi in Ferrari...2002 year so after 6 years who cares of it??? Kubica is clear "we need to go and get it, couse I want win". Nobody want to go e.g. Button's way.
It's not frustration, it's pure nad clear demand as Rossi did to Yamaha last year.

look at the Kubica photo, change the nose and here it is - Christian Bale :p
but be serious, look at f1fanatics.co.uk where they put Kubica in standings...right move for some reasons, it make sense.
