Quite Simply, just can't belive it. Oh my god! I really hope they can sort something out in time, as a Honda fan I'm pretty gutted for all involved, Not just Jenson & Rubens but also the hard working guys at the factory.

I really wouldn't be too supprised if a few other teams just pulled out as well now the first one's almost gone.

If indeed this is true , its good that finally the Japanese bosses seemed to have woken up from their Sleep. If Only Nick Fry and British Management were made more accountable in this engagement, they wouldn't have been taken for a ride.

The team hasn't been delivering results after Dave Richards' departure from its guise as BAR Honda. Let us see if Fry and Brits get onboard, the monies that they have earliers siphoned off from Tokyo Bosses. That will actually prove if they are here for love of sports or just wasting someone elses resources.

Honda should just limit their involvement as "Engine Supplier" provided the Brits show them the monies :)

Having followed the economic crisis unfold for the last year, I'm certainly not surprised by this news. Canadian, French and German GP's gone, China in doubt, Australia with massive deficits that can't go on for too many years. I'll second the previous "Toyota is next" post, and add Renault. The concern with these 3 manufacturers is their clientele. Middle and lower classes. With car sales in North America plummeting by 40% this year alone, F1 racing wouldn't be justifiable in this environment. Perhaps luxury manufacturers like Merc/BMW/Ferrari will be able to survive the storm. Rich people won't stop their spending, as opposed to commoners...

Maybe Bernie will get a reality check...

These talented youngsters must be feeling like they're runing into a brick wall, because with Super Aguri and now Honda going, theres now only 18, just EIGHTEEN cars potentially on the grid next season and if Toyota follow suit, then thats just 16 cars, not many people will want to watch a race, no matter how much talent there is on the grid, if there's only 16 cars racing.

Hopefully someone will buy out that team, hopefully.

I can see F1 being in big trouble unless there is a dramatic recovery in the world economy. They have priced themselves out of the market and now may be about to see the results of that.

this is a real travesty for F1 sport in general Honda have produced winning engines for williams etc in the past and it is a real shame if they pull the plug on F1. The really sad thing about the whole situation is max is going to say it adds weight to his plans to introduce a single engine supplier to F1 for future races (which will dive even more teams out of the sport with the global down turn and it is just like max to do this at the WRONG time).

The future of jenson and rubens will not really be effected i dont think as another team i would have thought would snap them up maybe force india etc for next year or the year after (continued)

the effects could go much deeper.
my guess is that the f1 tv contracts insist at least 18 cars are on the grid.

they gave it their best shot, but one man cannot turn a team around,I suppose with team India, going in with partner ship with Mclaren was proberbly the last straw, incidently that is where he might end up
