So the future world champion, the next Michael Schumacher, 3 tenths slower than the number 6 finisher in the GP2 series last year...

Sure, it''s just one day, but they both did 83 laps. If Vettel actually was that much quicker he''d be faster now no matter what.

Once again proves that you can''t really go faster than fast. With proper training I think at least 5 to 10% of people could be competitive in F1.

I think we are about to see F.I go down the toilet. I recall that during the 1.5ltr formula one era that Can Am cars were lapping much faster than F.I. cars. Now we are hearing of a proposed 1.8 ltr. engine size limit in the interests of keeping costs down so no chance of turbocharging then. So this, along with all the other measures to cut costs and speed, will have the effect of making F.1 about as quick as formula Renault, and therefor no longer justifying the title of F.1. My proposals should be taken seriously and. they are as follows:- Engine, Briggs and Stratton. Chassis, Scaffolding planks, ****pit, an old orange box {wooden].Steering, piece of strong cord attached to front axles.

Cont....... I have just had ****pit censored!!!!!!! So where the driver sits. Wheels to be from Focus wheelbarrows inflated to a pressure of 20psi to further reduce corner speed. No aerodynamic aids whatsover so no cunning angling of chassis! All this will help bring speeds enough for many of the safety measures to be removed and once more spectators will be able to witness ar close hand the best drivers in the world struggling to control power slides and fighting wheel to wheel with possibly as many as ten cars abreast through the corners! Sorry, got to go now, Bernie just called asking if he can borrow a fiver!

Looking at the pic, reading the story about running slick tests and seeing Buemi ahead of Heidfeld by 2 seconds, we're not looking at the second coming of Christ here... 2008 package with slicks, same or similar as last week's tests. Meanwhile the headlines "BUENI STILL ON TOP", "BUEMI DONIMATES JEREZ!!!" and the likes seem to try to create hype around a new "savior" to F!. Sheesh, how about a little objectivity with the headlines Crash.net editors???
