Bernie is the worst thing that ever happened to the sport.
He has an agenda that hasn't got anything to do with the sport. Get rid of him and let's get racing again.

It would not be a surprise to see that every team, whether publicly or privately, supports Ferrari in its revenue row with BE.

Yet again we see that Bernie wants all the money for him self, as at no point during all this "we must cut costs" time has the controlling body ever said they will lower the entry fees etc, or give some of the money they make back to the teams,

FOM must help the circuits as well as the teams, Bernie needs to reduce his asking price for holding a Grand Prix. I don't think that any savings made by the circuits would be passed on to ticket prices for the forseable future, at least not until they have been making a profit for a few years then we may see a reduction in ticket prices but it would'nt be huge. Bernie seems to be the only one that wants everyone else to reduce their costs and let the FOM to increase theirs. :)

But really F1 is the teams not BE, MM and the rest of the hangers on. They should set up there own organisation get racing and control the money for themselves. BE and the FIA own no tracks or TV companies so really they are not a requirement for the sport. The sponsers want there name on the side of the car, for the TV cameras to see. So I ask myself why do the teams put up with it as it is?. The main players could redeploy staff that are presently due to be laid off {managers and the like} with the required skills and set up organisation looking after there own interests.

Has anyone got any answers to why this situation continue

adrem, maybe this move by ferrari and toyota will be the start of a major power struggle. if it is, i would imagine that BE would lose out.

rich ard I think you maybe right, Montezemolo may now do to Bernie what Bernie did to the old FIM back in the 70/80's. I think Bernie has done a lot of good for F1 over the years he saw the opening back in the 70's and had the vision, like any shrewd business man he has made the most of it. He must be under a lot of pressure now from CVC to capitalise on the income from F1, but I don't think that his dictorial way of doing business with the F1 teams will carry on working now that FOTA has been formed. Maybe now is the time to step aside Bernie. :)

People pay to watch Ferrari team, not the F1 itself. Ferrari deserved the money. BE must understand is Ferrari out, they would be no F1 no more.

He keep asking to reduce use of money on F1 team but he keep asking Circuit to pay more to host race or bye, bye! What this guy thinking. Keeping all the profit for himself???

as much as i love ferrari, personally, i prefer the 'racer' teams in f1, williams especially, that what got me into this sport anyway, ferrari are a great team, but we know now they had the finances to do it, and i dont really think they did anything to help the sport over the last decade, the opposite in fact in my view, bring back early nineties racing, thats wen pride actually counted in the sport, now its about money, no personalities left either, robotic races from robotic teams.
breakaway would be the best thing that could happen, so whats the downside? oh, it wont be called f1, jesus, thats really gonna affect my view of good racing
