if honda sell the team for one dollar as reported, what are their liabilities, which include buttons exhorbitant wage?

** In his first year of F1 in the Williams team, Button came 8th.
EXACTLY where 'wonder kid' VETTEL ended up in HIS first year also!

** Button came third in the championship in 2004.
That is equal to Kimi Raikkonen's performance in 2008.

Q) Was the BAR a better can than all the pack, but the Ferrari in 2004? I think not.
The BAR Honda was fast, but unreliable. Button simple drove very well indeed.

Everyone know's the factory HONDA car has never been able to do anything more than top 15 at a push. Before BAR HONDA he drove a notoriousy unreliable Renault.

Looking objectively at the evidence, when given a decent car - he delivers.

i wholeheartedly agree with above comment having followed jens since the beginning i was well dissapointed for him with honda pulling out, what people forget when slagging him off is his option was williams or honda? still think honda was the lesser of two evils.so what if he gets paid through the roof hes hardly guna say no is he?.
Given the right car button would shine, mclaren for 2010 would be awesome.

I am a Ferrari fan, but i would love to see Button get a drive in a Mclaren and beat Hamilton (which im quite confident he would), everyone just seems to have forgotten about him which is a shame, he is a great talent and if given the right car would take at least a championship im sure.

Its so nice to see people supporting J.B on here ,I agree with the above comments that he would give hamilton a run for his money in the same carm, Not everyone gets handed a championship winning car in there first year, I for one beleive that should honda be bought out , i think he could be a dark horse for the title

sorry, i dont agree, button is average, rubens certainly is past his best and stuffed him this year, also, jenson had sato as his team-mate in 2004, if he had rubens then, i doubt he be 3rd in the standings, the only reason he is rated so highly is because itv blew the sun up his backside, and no, i have absolutly no pity on honda,i wont iss them on the grid, they blew it and deserve the consequenes, its the same as wen BAR 1st came in, money money money, all wasted, give it to williams, a proper team, jenson musta been crazy to turn them down, they will return.

Im sorry but the above comments about Button being able to beat Hamilton in a McLaren?I know what you're thinking,'Hamilton was in a brilliant car,it was easy for him to win the championship'BUT Kovilinen was in the same car and scored about 1/3 the points Hamilton did, also Massa and Raikkonen were in Ferarris, supposidly the fastest cars on the grid but did either beat Hamilton to the driver's championship this season? Everyone is entitled to an opinion and I know loads of people think Hamilton is an average driver who was unfairly gifted a championship winning car in his first year, but surely McLaren knew what they were doing nd would not have put him in their car if this was the case...
