For those who are less informed he has won reces in A1GP where cars are identical. Anyway A1GP is becoming far more interesting than F1...

karthikeyan was never a driver that would worry others, and only drove for jordan because he had a stack of cash with him, but bang goes even the remotest chance of ever being in F1 again

heheheh

There's another driver who needs some coaching on when to speak and how to speak LOL
With all the current uncertainty with driver choices and team changes, he should have kept his mouth shut and worked flat out behind the scenes to get even a test role, but oh no....

...and if Vijay Mallya actually buys the Honda team, his chances of a drive might have been increased cos there's no guarantee they would keep Button and Rubens anyway.

When you buy a team you also buy the contracts. So if Button has a contract, then he drives or you have to buy him out too.

And Karthikeyan is correct. What is the point of driving for FI? Or a revamped Honda. Just to be in F1? There are more interesting series with a better challenge for the drivers. Just look at Jos Verstappen. Always drove for crap teams, always disappointments. And then they put him in an LMP2 Porsche and he wins Le Mans.... I think that winning other series, even WTCC is more interesting than being a gridfiller at F1 (F1 as it is now).

Also, what interest would he have to leave one of the most competitive and interesting formulas in Motor Racing to go into a dying one???

NN, i think that the rewards in F1 would be far greater than those in A1GP. surely that is an incentive!

Well rich ard, cash wise rewards, as you mentionned before "he had a stack of cash with him" so i don't think it is his priority. Then if you're talking recognition rewards I guess being in a team such a FIF1 that isn't quite it... anyway wait a couple of years and we'll see which of the formulas A1 or F1 will be most rewarding/recognized.
don't get me wrong, I am a F1 Fan since the mid 70's but there are so many off track things going on in F1 that I'm turning to competitions where there is less fussing and more competition.

I dont know....he worried me...and I was only sitting in my living room watching on the TV.....he was scary wreckless at times and i'm sure a few drivers had squeaky bums when they saw him on track.....seriously though - see your point and totally agree. His chance came and went and comments like that aint going to have any team manager consider him for a drive

That driving style reminds me of someone currently in F1 :). Other drivers fear him when he happens to be behind them. Lucky them it doesn't happen that often :p
