When a driver says hes going to be brilliant this season (A La Jenson Button in 06,07,08...) then they get slated, but when they say its going to be tough then they are "making excuses" ... i dont know, they can't win.

Im looking forward to 09, we should have Mclaren, Ferrari, BMW, Renault up there for sure, possibly Toyota or Williams (Same engine, different method of KERS - which will be right) and then the "Honda" team has every chance of providing a good car if the talk is to be believed. Personally I don't believe because Honda promise every year.

F1 » Hamilton predicts fourth top F1 team in '09

Recently-crowned 2008 F1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton suggests he will find it far from easy to defend his hard-won crown in 2009 - with Ferrari, BMW-Sauber and perhaps even a 'fourth team' bidding to steal it off him.

Balancing commitments and pointing out the obvious... bravo! this man''s talent has no ends...

Renault and Alonso seems to be a very good match, sort of the Schumacher/Ferrari of the current era... but less dominant, I would think that perhaps a more impressive article and a better comment to have been made would have been to predict a FIFTH top F1 team... Toyota came strong in ''08... I hope they carry on in ''09

is this the continuance of his new found humility? lulu now says that it will be difficult for him, as there are apparently four teams, seven other drivers, who are as good as himself. or maybe he is just formatting an excuse in case he has a bad season. he is overlooking other drivers who may come good, next year. i feel that with the new aero rules, that there will be a lot more drivers/teams in with a shout.and hopefully, it will be harder for any one driver to dominate.

It's funny:
McLaren, Ferrari, BMW and perhaps Renault...is that a new? a bright guess? or are you talking about the end of last season?

My guess:

1-BMW (Kubica will be fighting for the title with Alonso)
2-Renault (better at the end of the season)
3-McLaren (better at the end of the season) (Hamilton will be third contender)
4-Red Bull (Vettel may win one or two GPs)

After those:

5- Ferrari (Massa will stand, Kimi will be replaced at the end of the year by Vettel, or Alonso)
6- Toyota
7- Williams
8- Toro Rosso
9- Honda (?)
10-Force India

It is just my guess

I think Hamilton will be at the sharp end again so long as no team pulls out something special with the new rules.

Why do you believe Kubica will be so strong?

Ok,in reply to findone,Im guessing:
1-McLaren(Lewis will continue pushing and Kovi HAS to up his game)
2-BMW(Kubica will be a title contender till the end, Heidfeld close behind)
3-Renault(Alonso has brilliant year, title contender to the end,Piquet not so good)
4-Ferrari(Kimi another poor year and is replaced,Massa does ok,comes 3rd/4th)
5-Toyota(Trulli is definatly on the up,Timo does ok too)
6-Red Bull(Vettel has potential and as long as he recovers well,Mark should have a competitive year)
7-Williams(Nico is determined todo well and IF he has a gd car could do well, havent seen much Nakajima)
8-STR(Still dont know whos in, im really hoping bourdais gets a drive,I think hes brill!)

9-Force India (Hoping for some more Monaco races from Sutil)
10-Honda? (Even if it does get bought, with all the mix up, drivers not testing properly prior, they're in for a tough year)
MY opinion!!! :D
Id LOVE to hear everyone elses opinions on both the constructors and drivers!

There's a report on the Sydney Morning Herald website that a Mexican billionaire has "saved the Honda F1 Team".The information is said to have come from a report in an Italian newspaper. One of the billionaire's companies currently sponsors Bruno Senna and Senna and Button will be retained as drivers.Fact or fiction??? Has anyone seen confirmation of this story?
