McLaren-Mercedes boss Ron Dennis insists that neither F1 nor its teams have given up on North America, despite there being no US or Canadian Grand Prix on the sport's schedule in 2009 for the first time in half a century.

ron says "we are trying hard to find a solution...". is he speaking on behalf of bernie or FIA? i think that it is only the dwarfs excessive demands that are denying NA a race, so the answer is basically simple. REDUCE YOUR MONETARY DEMANDS, BERNIE.

BE doesn't care about historic circuits of any other class of circuit. He only cares about those who can pay him what he wants. Even if it means ending up with really exciting races like Valencia, NOT.

Look at the economic climate in N.A. Any connection with over-the-top excess is tremendously politically incorrect. Bernie and his F1 clowns are the poster children for the Excess Lifestyle. Ain't gonna happen. Period.
