F1 » No danger of Trulli losing F1 seat, says Toyota

Speculation has arisen that former Monaco Grand Prix winner and seasoned F1 star Jarno Trulli could be shifted aside at Toyota in 2009 to make way for either Kamui Kobayashi or Kazuki Nakajima. Not so, insists the team.

so Nakajima to toyota and jenson to williams then?
to be honest, who would miss trulli? he is like a ghost, just somebody who is just there, i dont think he is a bad driver at all, just never did anything worth remembering aside from the prost in ''97, in jenson gets into a williams next year he will be seriously lucky, at the cost of trulli though, mm, tough one for me, they are both are as exciting as each other, give bourdais one of the drives.

couldnt agree less, pot. trulli has brought on the toyota and is an able driver. button to williams? some chance! remember how button treated frank before? naka to toyota? no chance. glock has been confirmed and naka seriously underperformed in 2008. as did bourdais, although to give him his dues, he picked up the ball towards the end of the season, having been shown up by a rookie.

yeh but rich ard, trulli brought toyota as far as he can in my opinion, and an able driver is not good enuf these days, hence the speculation, frank wont care bout before with button, naka or button, its a no brainer for all reasons, although i wouldnt like to see jenson get the williams drive, it suits perfect with the engine situation at the moment, williams only have naka because of toyota, and next year they wont have toyota engines. i think trulli will make way, mid season even.

In this months F1 Racing magazine there are the results of this year's ING Racing internet poll. This year's least favourite driver with 0% of the vote?

Jarno Trulli! :-o

zilch is sometimes not correct rich ard. Trulli has had his days and I think should pack his bags and go to his vineyards. I believe he has a going concern there and he may perhaps be luckier then in F1. But then again he is not the only one that has to go few names come to mind.

On this occasion I am inclined to agree with Rich ard(its becoming less and less rare!),I think Trulli has a lot more to give, and is only going to get better.I'd miss him!
Button is defo staying with the new 'Honda' team next year according to the other story so discussing him moving is irrelevent right now.
Naka has done next to nothing to this season,so I feel I cant really comment on him:havent seen him at his best but hes had a whole year to do so and hasnt so...
I REALLY want Bourdais to retain his seat,ok, he didnt have a great season, but it had potential with almost 3rd in Spa,7th in Fuji and im sure there were more.If he comes back next year I think he could be very good! :D

i dont understand people saying Bourdais didnt have a great season? Vettel is serious opposition, testing and racing in f1 before Bourdais, and it took Bourdais a while to get to grips with the toro rosso, but when he did, he was very good, got consistant in qualli and races, but although the old sayin is 'you compare yourself to your team mate' i think in the case of last season it doesnt apply so much, he needed time to adapt, he has a fire in him now to prove he deserves his place. trulli , on the other hand is proven, proven to have no fire anymore, vinyards are beckoning i feel. Trulli train is leaving the station i think.
